Intro to Buti Workshop
with Deyna Richardson

Join Deyna Richardson, certified buti instructor, for this special workshop!

Buti is a somatic movement practice set to dynamic music that incorporates yoga asana, strength, conditioning, cardio breaks, spiraling and shaking. It encourages you to get out of your thinking mind and into feeling your body with curiosity in the present moment. It is a power practice, while modifications of the movements and honoring your body is always encouraged. The spiraling and shaking movements facilitate the release of stuck energy, emotion and trauma.

This workshop consists of a 45 minute discussion/guided practice where you’ll be introduced to the specific buti elements at a slower pace, discuss what buti is (and isn't), expectations, modifications, safety, and energy release. After, we'll experience a full 45 minute buti class. This format is designed to give you a comfortable introduction to the practice and ease any nerves. Be prepared to sweat, laugh, (possibly cry), and come home to your body.
